Apartament I

The project involves the rehabilitation of a 61 m² historic apartment in Sibiu’s Lower Town through minimal, reversible interventions. It preserves the existing layout and materials while introducing new uses where needed. The historic layers and traces of successive alterations are treated as part of the space’s identity. Features such as the traces of the former chimney, the joinery and the floors are preserved and restored.
